You’ll also benefit from all the wonders that come with camping near Dymchurch. The village has so much to offer, being located on the stunning Kent coast and just a short 5-minute drive away from us.

The star attraction of Dymchurch is its stunning and pristine blue flag awarded beach. Attracting thousands of visitors every year, this is a flat, sandy stretch that runs for more than three miles. As well as being ideal for sunbathing and building sandcastles, it’s also a great spot for water sports like surfing and kayaking.

Washed by the tide of the English Channel, it boasts firm footing for walks and a promenade for cycling. There’s parking and plenty of places to eat nearby and the beach is even dog-friendly, so no member of the family has to miss out on the fun.

There’s also the Dymchurch Amusement Park providing an abundance of excitement for visitors of all ages. The bright and colourful rides here include a twister, swinger, dodgems and a ghost train, with arcades and smaller rides suitable for younger children. It’s a lively way to spend the day together!

Away from those more modern attractions, camping near Dymchurch with Fallow Fields provides you with the opportunity to explore the distinctive touches and rich history of this village. This includes the Martello Towers; 19th-century defensive forts were built as part of Britain’s defensive position against an expected French invasion. Two of these towers are viewable and stand as bold remnants of Kent’s important heritage.

While its humble beginnings in 1927 can’t quite rival the history of the Martello Towers, the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is undoubtedly one of the top and most unique attractions in the country. This is a world-famous one-third full size locomotive. Its four stations cover 13.5 miles across stretches of country and coastline, terminating in the National Nature Reserve at Dungeness. With excellent facilities and incredible sights to take in, this is a must-visit when camping near Dymchurch.

You also can’t forget all the charming pubs, tearooms, shops and places to eat in Dymchurch town which make this such a special place for the whole family. When you’re staying with Fallow Fields, you’ll be spoiled for choice, with all the delights of Dymchurch right on our doorstep.
