Unforgettable Family Fun at Fallow Fields

Nothing is more important than spending quality time with your loved ones. Whether you’re planning a family holiday or just escaping for the weekend with a few close friends, camping in Kent is the ideal choice.

Our Kent Campsites

Just a stone’s throw away from Dymchurch sea front, you’ll find our enchanting Lathe Barn campsite. Here you can soak up the wonderful views of the surrounding hills and Lympne Castle. With a choice of accommodation options, a selection of activities for all campers to enjoy and delicious fresh food and drink, it provides a truly unforgettable stay.

Alternatively, you can book your trip to the fantastic Selson Farm for a true family camping experience. It provides the perfect spot, nestled between splendid cherry, pear and apple trees. You’ll be able to tuck into some precious family time. Bring your own tent, small campervan or trailer tent and get back to nature.

Why You Should Camp in Kent

Our Lathe Barn and Selson Farm campsites give you the opportunity to roam wide open spaces and wake up surrounded by natural beauty each morning. And we’re not just talking about our gorgeous locations either. While we have all the facilities you need to simply unwind here for as long as you want, there’s also a whole world of spectacular sights and experiences just outside of camp.

If you want to feel golden sands beneath your toes, the enchanting Camber Sands and the monumental Kent Coast should keep even the most passionate beach lover satisfied. History buffs will have access to a seemingly endless supply of curiosities to embrace, from the timeless Margate to 80 acres of historic thrills at Dover Castle.

Nature enthusiasts could likely just look around and discover something new. But there’s also the likes of Port Lympne Safari Park  or that rather famous geological formation known as the White Cliffs of Dover, if you fancy making a day of it.

Both Lathe Barn and Selson Farm are Kent campsites, meaning that you have access to all of this and more when you stay with us. And truly, the sheer variety and versatility of this slice of heaven in the south of England is enough to deliver the right break for you and all your fellow campers, along with a different adventure every time you visit.

Feel right at home

We offer all the wonders of the great outdoors but with no compromise on modern comforts. Our facilities and well-stocked onsite shop have you covered from morning to night. Plus, with a car-free policy and ‘quiet sites’ from 10.30pm, you can enjoy a peaceful, stress-free time together.

Getting some shut eye will be important, because your days at Fallow Fields will be jam-packed with fun activities and games. Get active with sports, enjoy a little dose of healthy competition or grab the popcorn for a movie night at the cinema. Of course, there’s also an abundance of walks, days out and free things to do around our campsites in Kent. That’s not to mention something for the adults too, with yoga sessions, wine tasting and a Gin and Fizz Bar at our Selson Farm site. Our dedicated staff are here to ensure your stay goes swimmingly, so book today.

FAQs

Is Fallow Fields near the Kent Coast?

Both of our campsite Kent UK locations have beaches on the Kent Coast nearby. For instance, you can drive from Lathe Barn to Dymchurch Beach in a little over five minutes and cycle there in around 10 to 15 minutes, as it’s only around two and a half miles away. Public transport could get you there as quickly as half an hour.

Selson Farm is a little further inland, with Deal Castle Beach taking around 20 minutes by car or 35 minutes if you cycle. Public transport can also get you there in about 40 minutes.

When is Fallow Fields open?

Our Kent campsites are open between May and September. Arrival times run between 2 pm and 8 pm if you bring your own tent, and 3 pm to 8 pm for bell tent campers.

Is FFC dog-friendly?

Not only are we dog-friendly but when you camp in Kent, you also get access to lots of great dog-friendly beaches. Of course, we do ask you to clean up after your dog and keep them on a lead for the safety and comfort of all our visitors. The only exception is furnished bell tent bookings, where dogs are not allowed.

Is FFC campfire-friendly?

Yes, all we ask is that both campfires (alongside BBQs) are raised off the ground in a fire pit, which you can hire from us if you don’t have your own. Please note that furnished bell tents do come with one included.

You must also only use wood supplied by us, which you can buy at our shop or online. It’s a requirement for campsites in Kent like ours to only use seasoned logs, hence the requirement. All wood is sold at retail prices.

What’s on the menu at Fallow Fields?

We provide a wide variety of food nights at Fallow Fields to enhance your campsite Kent UK experience. This includes breakfast on weekends and bank holiday mornings.

On Friday evenings, we serve up mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas with your choice of toppings. This is also available on Wednesdays during school holidays. On Saturdays and Thursday evenings on a school holiday, we cook up a delectable dinner of rotisserie chicken and chips. All of this is available for pre-order.
