Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions are a binding contract between us, Fallow Fields Camping Ltd and all of it’s subsidiaries, referred to as “Fallow Fields” for the purpose of these T&Cs and you the “Customer”. These terms are deemed accepted on receipt of payment by you the Customer and the confirmation of your booking being provided by us. If you do not receive a confirmation email you must advise us within 24 hours.

We reserve the right to change these T&Cs at any time and any such changes will take effect immediately when posted on the Website, in the brochure, at the Sites, or otherwise brought to your attention.

In order for all guests to enjoy  Fallow Fields Camping we kindly ask all campers to respect the following terms and conditions at all times. As the lead booker you are responsible for ensuring all members of your party comply to these terms and conditions and you agree to be responsible for any loss or damage caused by any member of your party.

Please note that you must be over the age of 21 to make a booking.

We reserve the right to request campers not observing these conditions to leave the campsite with immediate effect and without refund.

Please note: we DO NOT accept caravans, motorhomes and transit vans are only allowed on site with prior agreement. Small campervans are welcome.

COV-19 – All campers must adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines in place at the time of their stay. These will be updated regularly on the website and made available to campers prior to arrival.

Noise – We are a family campsite, please respect your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm, acoustic musical instruments (with exception of bongos or drums) are permitted for your own enjoyment, not the whole campsite, up until this time.  No amplified music, even from your phone, is permitted.

We are based in rural locations and cannot be responsible for noise caused by wildlife, vehicles and overhead aircraft or instances where other campers do not abide to these terms and conditions.

Bell tents and BYO pitches – We have pre-allocated pitches and bell tents. Your pitch will be allocated before arrival and you must only camp within this allocated area. Any tents/ gazebos/ etc pitched outside of your allocated area will be removed.

To ensure that you have the space and peace to enjoy your stay, all pitches and bell tents are separated from neighbouring campers by wild grass and meadow flowers. If you are a group we can allocate you adjacent pitches so long as you advise us in advance.

Any damages to equipment provided by Fallow Fields must be reported to reception. Missing/ damaged equipment may be charged to the customer.

We reserve the right to refuse 1) additional guests not pre-booked 2) guests if the details given are incorrect, 3) guests not adhering to onsite rules.

Group bookings – We accept small respectful groups, but bookings are taken at the owner’s discretion; We cannot accommodate Stag or Hen parties or  single sex, adult only groups. Campers are advised that we are family-friendly and excessive noise is not tolerated. It is the responsibility of the person booking to make sure that the group is aware of the full terms & conditions.

Dogs – Well-behaved dogs are welcome on BYO pitches but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are not permitted in Furnished bell tents, or in the showers & toilets. Please observe areas of permitted access when walking dogs and clean up responsibly.

Payment – A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required on booking and the balance payable 21 days prior to arrival. Card details are not held on file, but we will remind you when your balance payment is due. If a payment is not received within these terms the booking will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

Refunds & cancellation – Once you have received your booking confirmation you have 24 hours to amend your booking free of charge or cancel with a full refund less the payment processing fee. After which, in the event of cancellation or early departure by a customer, we are not able to offer refunds.

Changes to bookings – Where possible we are happy to amend and move bookings, subject to availability, up to 21 days before the date of your arrival. There will be a £15 admin fee applicable per pitch/ bell tent amended plus any additional costs for which a higher sum is charged of any new dates.

In the event we are unable to open due to a government lock down from Covid-19, any bookings will be credited and can be used for a future booking up to 12 months from the date of the original booking.

Fallow Fields will not be liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have a single trip or annual travel insurance policy in place in case of unexpected events.

Arrivals – Campers can check in 24 hours before arrival online. If you have not checked in prior to arrival you MUST report to reception, regardless of whether someone else in your group has already arrived.

You are welcome to arrive between 2pm and 8pm. If you are going to be later than 8pm please let us know and we will see if we can accommodate you.

**It is your responsibility to ensure you camp on the correct pitch. If you do not, we may ask you to move.**

Please note we CANNOT accept early arrivals under any circumstance.

Wet Weather – In wet weather we may restrict access to the camping fields for cars; This is for the safety of all campers as the grass can become slippy when wet and therefore a danger to staff and campers. This also allows us to preserve the land and stop pitches and communal areas becoming muddy and un-pleasant to camp in. In these circumstances staff will meet you on arrival and direct you to your pitch. There will be trolleys and wheel barrows to move camping equipment to pitches and staff to assist as required.

Parking – Cars MUST be parked in our car park unless we have asked you to park somewhere else in adverse weather conditions. Please park with consideration of others.

Speed limits – The site speed limit is 5mph.

Departures – Please vacate your pitch or bell tent by 11am on day of departure. Pitches and bell tents must be left clean and tidy and free of all rubbish.

Campfires & BBQs – Must be off the ground in fire pits/ BBQs. Fire pits can be hired and wood purchased on site. Anyone found to be burning a fire on the ground will be asked to leave without refund. You are not permitted to collect wood from the site or adjacent woodlands.

Safety – You are required to follow any safety advice provided to you. Please note in particular:

  • Please ensure you keep to the designated camping areas clearly around the site.
  • There may be commercial vehicles moving around the site and farm (if applicable) so you must keep to the designated areas.
  • Children must be properly supervised at all times.
  • Take particular care not to do anything which might cause a fire – dispose of cigarettes and barbecues responsibly.
  • Fireworks and Chinese lanterns may not be brought onto or used on site.
  • Do not enter or attempt to use any facility that is closed.
  • Please also refer to our Fire Safety Guide provided at Check-in.

Site damage – Campsite facilities left in an unsatisfactory state, and any damage above reasonable wear and tear will incur extra charges.

Rubbish disposal –  Always keep the campsite tidy and on departure clear your pitch / bell tent of all rubbish using the provided facilities. Please take home any broken tents and equipment.

Liability – The owners of Fallow Fields and of any leased land for the use of camping or activities, are absolved of all liability for accidents and/or damage to tents/equipment and from any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

Complaints – Any assistance you require, or concerns should be brought to our attention immediately to a member of staff on site. We aim to give assistance to you if you are in difficulty and to respond promptly to any concerns you raise so that you can continue to enjoy your break.

Please note that we are not responsible for any matter of which you were aware and which you did not bring to our attention during your break.

Any reported matter which has not been resolved during your break should be advised in writing to: enquiries@fallowfieldscamping.com within 7 days of the end of your break. In such cases, we will only correspond with the person named on the booking. We will not enter into further correspondence on any matter resolved during your break and accepted as such by you.
