Campsite Information

Here at Fallow Fields we understand what you need…

Free parking, activities for you and the kids, great facilities, fire pits, and a warm welcome for everyone, including your 4-legged friend. It’s time to get away. It’s time to stay at Fallow Fields Camping.
Who’s in – tents, trailer tents and small campervans, we DO NOT accept caravans or motorhomes. Converted transit vans are only allowed on site with prior agreement.
Tent/Campervan pitches – we have 50 bring your own pitches (up to six guests per pitch – IF YOU HAVE A BIGGER FAMILY you can have one larger tent over 2 pitches). There are no pre-allocated pitches, choose where you camp on arrival; there must be at least 3 metres between tents.
Bell tents – we have 10 fully furnished bell tents for hire, each sleeps up to four people; all beds & bedding included, as well as camping equipment. We can accommodate additional guests (own bedding needed) for a small charge but they must be agreed with us prior to arrival. Arrivals Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays only.
The atmosphere – We are a family focused campsite with lots of things to do for children and young adults in and around the retreat tent. Unlike most campsites that use a pitch system we allow you to choose where you want to camp but we have a maximum number of people we allow on site so there is plenty of space for everyone and no long queues for toilets & showers.
Children – We do not accept any under 18s camping without an accompanying parent or adult guardian. Proof of age will be required for any groups that appear to be under 21 and unsupervised and may be asked to leave if ID cannot be provided.
Groups – groups of up to 25 people can be booked online. Larger groups must call to book. There is plenty of space for groups to set up camp together.
Consideration for others – We ask that noise is kept to a minimum in the evening after 10:30pm. Where possible we will reserve space for larger groups and we can arrange for mixed groups of bell tents and bring your own tent pitches. Please ensure you let us know on booking if you are a group and have any special requirements.
Dogs – well-behaved dogs are welcome on tent pitches (not bell tents), but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are free of charge.
Cars – we are a car free site in order to make it safe for kids to roam! We therefore ask that once you have unpacked, you park your car in our on-site car park (next to the camping field). There is no charge for parking – 0ne car per pitch please.
Facilities – we have a small permanent toilet block (x2 toilets), and good quality mobile toilets (x7) & showers (x8). There are also 4 washing up sinks, and 4 sinks for washing / teeth. All wash areas and toilets are cleaned 2-3 times daily and are stocked with toilet roll and soap.
Campfires & BBQs  – must be raised off the ground in firepits or BBQs on a stand. Fire pits can be hired for £6 per night. You are not permitted to collect wood from the farm or surrounding woodland.
Wood – Please note, campers are only permitted to burn wood supplied by Fallow Fields. This is due to planning conditions that we must be able to guarantee only seasoned logs are burned. Wood is available for £6 per trug (equivalent to a standard bag) or a wheel barrow full is £15 (3 trugs).
Arrivals – between 2pm and 8pm. If you are going to be later than 8pm please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our gate shuts at 10pm so we cannot accept any arrivals after this time.
Departure time – before 11am but later check out can be arranged if we are not full.
Shop – we have an onsite shop offering lots of food items; camp basics, local meat and produce, fresh coffee and ice-block exchange – a campers must!
Food and Drink – our catering unit, The Field Kitchen offers catering on busy evenings, mostly Friday and Saturday nights and breakfasts on Saturday and Sundays. Check out full menus and pre-book to avoid disappointment by clicking here.
Refunds – unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for early departures or no shows.
