Campsite Information

Who’s in – We are happy to accept tents, trailer tents and small campervans, (eg. small retro or modern VW’s, bongos, etc). We CANNOT accept caravans or motorhomes. We have grass pitches for tents and campervans. We DO NOT have electric pitches.
Tent/Campervan pitches –  We allow you to choose where you want to camp and we do not segregate BYO pitches and bells tents, so you can camp and glamp together – you can see a map here. Our capacity is limited to a maximum number of people, not tents, once this limit is reached we cannot allow any more bookings. This is to ensure that there are not long queues for toilets & showers during the busy summer months.
Bell tents – we have 15 fully furnished bell tents for hire, each sleeps up to four people; all beds & bedding included, as well as camping equipment. We can accommodate additional guests (own bedding needed) for a small charge but they must be agreed with us prior to arrival. Bell Tents are not equipped with electric, furnished Bells have a lantern included. We also have 2 unfurnished bell tents available to hire if you don’t fancy putting up your own tent but have your own equipment.
The atmosphere – We are a family focused campsite with lots of things to do for children and young adults in and around the retreat tent. Unlike most campsites that use a pitch system we allow you to choose where you want to camp but we have a maximum number of people we allow on site so there is plenty of space for everyone.
Children – We do not accept any under 18s camping without an accompanying parent or adult guardian of 25 or over. Proof of age will be required for any groups that appear to be under 21 and unsupervised and may be asked to leave if ID cannot be provided.
Groups – Larger groups must call to book, but groups of up to 25 people can be booked online. Where possible we will keep bell tents together and BYO campers are welcome to pitch next to bells. Please note we CANNOT move bell tents and be be aware of our noise policy below. Considerate family groups are welcome, we are not a party site and noisy campers will be asked to leave.
Noise & Consideration for others – We ask that noise is kept to a minimum in the evening after 10:30pm. We also do not allow music, even from a mobile phone. A classical instrument like a guitar is fine until 10:30pm. Please ensure you let us know on booking if you are a group or part of a group and have any special requirements.
Dogs – well-behaved dogs are welcome on tent pitches (not bell tents), but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are free of charge.
Cars – we are a car free site in order to make it safe for kids to roam! We therefore ask that once you have unpacked, you park your car in our on-site car park (next to the camping field) by 9pm at the latest so it is a safe environment for children. There is no charge for parking – 0ne car per pitch please.
Facilities – we have a small permanent toilet block (x2 toilets) and a newly built toilet & shower block for 2019 with 7 toilets, 8 showers and a disabled access toilet and shower. There are also 4 washing up sinks, and 4 sinks for washing / brushing teeth. All wash areas and toilets are cleaned 2-3 times daily and are stocked with toilet roll and soap.
Campfires & BBQs  – must be raised off the ground in firepits or BBQs on a stand. Firepits can be hired for £6 per night.
Wood – Please note, campers are only permitted to burn wood supplied by Fallow Fields. This is due to planning conditions that we must be able to guarantee only seasoned logs are burned. Wood is available for £6.50 per bucket (equivalent to a standard bag) or a wheel barrow full is £17.50 (3 buckets). You are not permitted to collect wood from the farm or surrounding woodland.
Arrival time – between 2pm and 8pm. Unfortunately we CANNOT accept early arrivals. If you are going to be later than 8pm please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our gate to the camping field shuts at 10pm so we cannot accept any arrivals after this time, but you will be able to enter and leave the car park out of hours.
Departure time – before 11am but later check out can be arranged if we are not full.
Shop – we have an onsite shop offering lots of food items; camp basics, local meat and produce, fresh coffee and ice-block freezer – for refreezing blocks. For full details click here.
Food and Drink – our catering unit, The Field Kitchen offers catering on busy evenings, mostly Friday and Saturday nights and breakfasts on Saturday and Sundays. Check out full menus and pre-book to avoid disappointment by clicking here.
Refunds – unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for early departures or no shows. Where possible and subject to availability we are happy to move bookings to alternative dates in the same year, however there will be a £15 administration fee for doing so.
